You must be at least 18 years old to use Barely Theory, or at least 13 years old with parental consent. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Barely Theory is an educational skincare tool, not a medical service. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any skin condition. All content — including ingredient analyses, product recommendations, routines, preparation timelines, and aftercare guides — is for educational purposes only.

Always consult a licensed dermatologist or qualified healthcare provider for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in this app.

If you experience a severe skin reaction — such as intense burning, swelling, difficulty breathing, or signs of infection — stop using the product immediately and contact emergency services or your healthcare provider.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You agree not to share your account with others. Each account is private — your skin profile, routines, photos, and data are visible only to you and cannot be accessed by other users.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to access another user's data
• Submit false or misleading reports
• Use the app as a substitute for professional medical care
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute product data or content

We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that product information — including ingredients, prices, photos, and retailer links — is always current or correct. Product formulas change, prices fluctuate, and photos may be updated by brands. Always verify ingredient lists on the actual product packaging before use.

If you find incorrect information, please use the "Report an issue" feature so we can correct it.

Product analyses and recommendations are personalized based on your quiz answers and the ingredient information available. They are educational, not prescriptive. Your skin may react differently than predicted. Always patch-test new products and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Barely Theory is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any skin reactions, allergic responses, or other outcomes resulting from the use of products recommended or analyzed by the app. You use the app and its recommendations at your own risk.

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This action is irreversible and removes your skin profile, routines, favorites, progress photos, scans, appointments, and notifications.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
